In this two-hour workshop, you will learn to create your own single-panel narrative piece(s).

With expert advice from illustrator Aleesha Nandhra, you will begin by discussing illustration and the relationship between text and image, before trying some fun warm up drawing exercises.

Illustration of a dog looking out of a window, with words that read: "It's raining and I'm thinking of you again."

Using some writing prompts, or your own pre-existing texts, Aleesha will guide you through the process of thinking about subtle, abstract or obvious ways to create accompanying narrative illustrations for their words, from rough sketching to final art.

By the end of the workshop, you will have created a striking single-panel narrative piece of your own in a fun and friendly environment.

This workshop is suitable for beginners, and no prior experience is needed, however an interest in drawing is recommended.
