Who are we and what do we do?

Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration is a new cultural destination comprising galleries, learning spaces, a shop, a café and public gardens within a beautifully restored heritage site in Clerkenwell, London. We are due to open in spring 2026. As part of the development of the site we have a business plan in place which includes venue hire as part of our wider commercial offer.

Illustration is everywhere. On your bookshelf, in your fridge, at the shops and on your social media feed, explaining, expressing, influencing.

Quentin Blake Centre is the UK’s first and only charity dedicated to illustration. We create opportunities to examine and create art that shares stories and ideas. We exhibit illustration from around the world, including the work of our founder Quentin Blake, and we develop projects with illustrators, schools and community groups, with a strong focus on people and stories that have been marginalised.

What are we seeking?

We are seeking an individual or consultancy who understands the venue hire market in London and has expertise in working with heritage and cultural attractions to work with us to clarify our venue hire offer.
