Decolonising New River Head Researcher (freelance)

We are a small arts charity on an exciting journey to create the UK’s national centre for illustration. We are about to start restoration and construction work at New River Head, an industrial heritage site in Clerkenwell that was a vital part of the infrastructure of the New River Company. It will open to the public within the next 18 months to two years as the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration. Interpretation and a participatory programme will explore the stories of the site.

We are now looking to appoint a Decolonising New River Head Researcher who will undertake independent research on the New River Company’s shareholders and their business interests, building on the findings of Dr Angelina Osborne’s 2023 report, New River Adventurers.
