Project Manager

Quentin Blake Centre is about to start restoring and repurposing the Grade II listed New River Head industrial heritage site as the national centre for illustration, comprising new galleries, a home for Quentin Blake’s archive, learning spaces, a shop, café and public gardens. The project is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, philanthropy and grants.

We are looking to appoint an experienced, highly organised and collaborative Project Manager. Working as an employee, independent freelancer or company, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the construction project, acting as Client representative and main point of contact. You will develop and manage the critical path plan, risk register and budget for the capital works and associated Activity Plan, ensure adherence to legal and planning frameworks, and provide timely reporting.

We champion art that is dynamic and diverse; we want our team to reflect that. We will be offering guaranteed interviews to Deaf and disabled applicants and applicants of African, Caribbean, Central Asian, East Asian, South Asian, Latinx, South East Asian and West Asian heritage whose applications meet the essential shortlisting criteria in the Job Pack. We are registered as a Disability Confident employer.

Please see the Job Pack for more details on the role, what we are looking for and how to apply. If you have any queries, please email us jobs@qbcentre.org.uk.
