If you want to try something new, develop creative skills or get career inspiration, our workshops, courses and events are for you.
Our tutors are working illustrators with years of teaching experience and our event speakers are specialists in their area of work. Whether you join them for an hour, a day or longer, you can expect fun, friendly and supportive sessions packed with everything you need to be bold and boost your illustration practice.
Courses are a series of sessions held over one, four or ten weeks that give you space to hone a new skill or work on a long-term project. They are taught either online or in person and always in small groups so that you get personal feedback from your tutor as you go.
Our recent course participants have worked on character design, graphic novel writing, botanical illustration and picture book making.
Expert tutors include award-winning illustrators Claire Alexander, Rachael Ball, Merlin Evans, Elaine Searle and Siôn Ap Tomos.
Workshops are one-day sessions focused on developing your illustration and craft skills. They are taught live, either in person or online in small informal groups.
Our recent workshops have covered subjects including non-fiction illustration, representation and fashion illustration.
Recent tutors have included Owen Davey, Julian Gray and Joanna Layla.
Industry Insight events are your chance to hear from illustrators, agents, publishers and other professionals about how they work and how to turn your illustration into a career. Combining practical tips and inspiration, these events give a rare look at what happens behind the scenes.
Our recent speakers have included illustrators Dapo Adeola, Chanté Timothy and Sharpay Chenyuè Yuán.
