Philanthropy Manager

Pay: £32,000-£38,000 pro rata, depending on experience
Contract: Permanent. Full time, 0.8 or job-share
Apply by Monday 10 July, 12:00pm GMT

We’re a small but ambitious arts charity on an exciting journey. We are transforming a half-acre industrial heritage site - New River Head, Clerkenwell - into the national centre for illustration and a home for Quentin Blake’s archive. We have recently been awarded a Development Grant by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. This has funded a programme of work to develop our understanding of project costs, resources, timeline and audience needs, enabling us to develop our application to apply for a full multi-million pound grant towards the project, in addition to a number of already secured founding gifts and grants.

We’re seeking a brilliant person - or people - to join the team as Philanthropy Manager as we begin the next phase of our campaign to establish the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration. The successful applicant will be focused on deepening existing funder relationships and helping to expand our supporter networks.

Quentin Blake Centre champions art that is dynamic and diverse; we want our team to reflect that. In recognition of underrepresentation in our staff team, we will be offering guaranteed interviews to D/deaf and disabled applicants and applicants of African, Caribbean, Central Asian, East Asian, South Asian, South East Asian, West Asian and Latinx heritage whose applications demonstrate that they meet the shortlisting criteria listed in the Philanthropy Manager Job Pack.

Please see the Job Pack for more details on the role, what we are looking for and how to apply. If you have any queries, please email us jobs@qbcentre.org.uk.

We are registered as a Disability Confident employer. Please let us know if you have any access requirements that need to be met to support you to make an application or participate in the interview process jobs@qbcentre.org.uk.

An online information evening for this role will take place on Tuesday 4th July from 6pm – 7pm. This is an opportunity to meet our team, find out more about our work and ask questions about the role. If you would like to attend, please email jobs@qbcentre.org.uk and ask us for joining details.
